Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking candidates for its Management Training Program. You will join as an Operations Supervisor in a 20-week program across one of our 240 service centers and relocate as needed to learn frontline supervision, safety, and transport procedures.

During training you will observe shifts, gain exposure to sales with ArcBest Account Managers, and after graduation be placed in a facility nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to relocate to service center locations across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for safe loading/unloading of freight.
• Maintain load plan and balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign tasks to workers according to unloading/loading schedules.
• Coordinate work assignments and monitor performances.
• Provide training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visitors.
• Foster safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a positive attitude in a high-pressure environment.
• Work in a team setting to achieve department goals.
