Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, offers a 20-week Management Training Program to become an Operations Supervisor. Relocation to a Service Center is required. After training, you’ll be placed at one of 240 facilities nationwide as an Operations Supervisor, with growth into senior roles through hands-on experience.

The program covers safety, maintenance, and transportation procedures, plus exposure to sales by spending time with Account Managers. Strong leadership and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for loading/unloading of freight on shifts.
• Maintain load plan and balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign tasks to workers according to schedules.
• Coordinate work and monitor performance.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
• Ensure a clean, safe working environment for personnel and customers.
• Foster safe handling of hazardous materials.
• Work in a team to meet department goals.
