Job summary

ABF Freight is seeking candidates for its Management Training Program to become an Operations Supervisor. During this 20-week program, you'll be trained from a service center perspective at one of our 240 nationwide locations. Relocation to a service center is required.

After completion, you will be placed as an Operations Supervisor at one of our facilities across the continental United States. Top management positions are built from internal development within ABF Freight and ArcBest careers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for safe loading/unloading on assigned shifts.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign tasks to workers according to unloading and loading schedules.
• Coordinate work assignments and monitor performances.
• Provide training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment for personnel and visitors.
• Foster safe handling of hazardous materials and support a safety-first culture.
• Work in a team setting to achieve department goals.
• Support ArcBest's values of creativity, integrity, collaboration, growth, excellence, and wellness.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
