Job summary

ABF Freight®, an ArcBest company, is seeking a candidate for its Management Training Program to become an Operations Supervisor. The 20-week program exposes you to service center operations, safety, maintenance, and transportation procedures.

You will observe front-line supervisors and later transition to an Operations Supervisor at one of ArcBest’s 240+ facilities across the continental United States. You will rotate through inbound, outbound, city, and DC shifts, with opportunities to learn

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Willingness to relocate to join the Management Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain load balance and proper load plan for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign tasks and coordinate work across shifts.
• Provide training, feedback, and disciplinary recommendations as needed.
• Create a safe environment for personnel and customers.
• Support a values-driven culture focused on safety, integrity, collaboration and growth.
• Assist in general operations across service centers.
• Other duties as assigned.
