Job summary

ArcBest ABF Freight offers a Management Training Program, starting you as an Operations Supervisor. The 20-week program trains you across service centers nationwide, with relocation essential to participate. After training, you’ll be placed as an Operations Supervisor across 240+ facilities in the continental U.S.

to build leadership within ABF’s safety, maintenance, and transportation teams. You will observe front-line supervision, learn about safety and logistics, and gain exposure to sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or preferred in business, supply chain, or related field.
• Experience with freight handling concepts and safety procedures is a plus.
• Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for loading/unloading freight on shifts.
• Maintain load plans and balance for safe vehicle operation.
• Assign tasks to workers based on unloading/loading schedules.
• Coordinate work and monitor performance; provide feedback and training.
