Job summary

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Site Logistics Operations Performance Leader at our Texas Operations site in Freeport, Texas. You will lead frontline logistics activities, partner with production facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, and develop team capability through coaching and performance feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing/operations experience in chemical/high-hazard environments.
• Understanding of process safety, operational discipline, risk management and continuous improvement principles.
• Experience working with hazardous materials, hazardous energy sources, or complex industrial processes.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontline operations performance across site logistics activities (loading, unloading, storage, transfer, transportation).
• Develop and maintain a strong safety culture through visible leadership and engagement with operations personnel.
• Drive operational discipline and compliance with process safety, environmental, regulatory, and operating requirements.
• Partner with production facilities to safely and reliably execute logistics activities supporting manufacturing operations.
• Lead and develop operators, shift leaders, and technical personnel to achieve safe, reliable, and efficient daily operations.
• Strengthen team capability through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, reliability, productivity, and cost performance.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with hazardous chemical handling and facility operations.
• Improve management systems, work processes, operating procedures, and standards to drive sustained performance.
• Prioritize resources to maximize value creation and eliminate non-value-added work.
• Ensure corrective actions from self-assessments, audits, RCIs, KPI gaps, and learning events are completed.
• Champion operational excellence through data, metrics, problem-solving tools, and risk-based decision making.
• Serve as or develop capability to serve as the Facility Work Group Leader delegate.
• Partner with engineering, maintenance, production, and EH&S to improve performance.
