Job summary

CarMax's Manchester reconditioning center is hiring a Management Assistant to help location leaders with hiring, onboarding, and orientation for new associates, and to manage administrative tasks such as paperwork, system updates, uniform ordering, and safety training.

At combined reconditioning and auction sites, you will support auction paperwork, DMV documents, and cash handling, while maintaining confidentiality and complying with EH&S rules; a flexible schedule may be required, including

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data for records.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Effective communication with customers and associates.
• Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Comfort with PPE standards and safety training.
• Maintain confidentiality of associate records and reports.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hiring and onboarding processes, including scheduling interviews and managing records in Workday.
• Facilitate new associate orientation and maintain personnel files.
• Complete I-9 and coordinate badge issuance.
• Administer uniform and PPE programs and distribution records.
• Follow EH&S requirements and maintain a clean work area.
• Process auction paperwork and handle cash management at locations with Auctions Operations.
• Provide additional administrative support as assigned by the Operations Manager.
