Job summary

CarMax Richland reconditioning center seeks a Management Assistant to support location operations by assisting managers with hiring, onboarding, and orientation for new associates, and to handle key administrative tasks such as paperwork, system updates, uniform and PPE ordering, and safety training. In locations with Auctions Operations, duties expand to processing auction paperwork and cash handling.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data for records.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail under deadlines.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and intermediate PC skills.
• Effective communication with customers and associates in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Adherence to PPE standards and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate hiring and onboarding processes, including scheduling interviews.
• Facilitate new associate orientation and maintain personnel files.
• Complete I-9 documentation and coordinate badge issuance and access.
• Administer uniform and PPE programs, including ordering and distribution.
• Follow EH&S requirements and maintain a clean work area.
• Handle auction paperwork and cash management at applicable locations.
• Provide additional administrative support as needed by the Operations Manager.
