Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to maintain and operate mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at the Seattle property. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance, repairs and housekeeping to ensure safe, efficient building operations.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in commercial property settings, relevant trade licenses, and the ability to manage energy systems and respond to emergencies. Strong communication and basic IT skills are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate trade license or permits as required (Journeyman/Master Electrician or city licenses).
• Valid driver’s license with clean record where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate plumbing, electrical, and HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Perform preventive maintenance per standards and schedule.
• Inspect engine room, pump, boiler, and electrical rooms; manage energy systems.
• Respond to emergencies and report activities to supervisor.
• Comply with all codes, regulations and safety guidelines.
