Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems at the assigned property. The role includes preventive maintenance, rounds, and safety compliance to deliver a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for occupants.

The candidate should have 5+ years of related experience, relevant licenses, and a strong background in HVAC, boilers, pumps, and energy management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required (Journeyman/Master Electrician, etc.).
• Familiarity with energy management systems and building controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems for assigned properties.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs per Cushman & Wakefield standards.
• Monitor Energy Management and adjust facilities systems to optimize efficiency.
• Inspect engine rooms, electrical rooms, pumps, generators, and related equipment.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and coordinate with property management as needed.
