Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems across assigned properties. You will perform rounds, preventive and corrective maintenance, and general repairs while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in commercial property operations, and relevant licenses or certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC requirements of the building(s).
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, cooling towers, VAVs and air distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment, control gauges, valves and thermostats.
• Repair doors, ceilings, floors and other general property fixtures.
• Perform preventive maintenance per standards, including filters, coils, belts and bearings.
• Inspect engine room and back-up systems; replace lamps and ensure clear access for safety.
• Report activities to supervisor and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Comply with codes, regulations and safety programs; participate in safety trainings.
