Job summary

Carle Health seeks a skilled surgical technologist to support operative procedures in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare sterile fields, set up cases, and assist surgeons while coordinating with the circulating RN to ensure patient safety and efficient turnover.

Required are an Associate degree or certificate in Surgical Technology and BLS certification within 3 months, with 1+ year of experience preferred. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS within 3 months - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Education: Associate‘s degree in Surgical Technology Or a Certificate in Surgical Technology
• Work Experience: 1+ years of experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and suture are appropriate, complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to induction.
• Set up case so that another can step in back table and mayo organized.
• Use resources wisely and avoid unnecessary openings.
• Coordinate with surgeon and prepare for case needs and changes.
