Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons and perform operative procedures. The role requires BLS within 3 months and an associate degree or certificate in Surgical Technology, with 1+ years of experience preferred.

The position involves preparing sterile fields, scrubbing, instrument handling, and supporting intraoperative activities across several specialties. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 3 months (AHA).
• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or a Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ years of experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely accuracy.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to induction.
• Run mayo/sponge setup and maintain back table organization.
• Anticipate case needs and collaborate with the surgeon.
• Scrub on simple to complex procedures and adapt to surgeon preferences.
• Perform case closing activities such as dressing application, transfer and turnover.
