Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support direct and indirect care during operative procedures. The role involves preparing the sterile field, assisting the surgeon, and ensuring instruments and sutures are ready and functioning properly.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or a Certificate in Surgical Technology, plus BLS certification within 3 months. Prior experience of 1+ year is highly preferred and a sign-on/relocation bonus may be offered.

Qualifications

• BLS within 3 months (AHA)
• Associate degree or certificate in Surgical Technology required or preferred
• 1+ years of experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare operative/invasive procedures for surgeon with accuracy and efficiency
• Set up sterile field and scrub before induction
• Ensure instruments and supplies are complete and functional
• Collaborate with surgeon on case needs and adjustments
• Assist with case sequencing and closing activities
• Run Mayo and provide space for back table and turnover
