Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons, prepare for operative procedures, and ensure the sterile field is maintained throughout diverse cases. The role supports both direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced operating room.

The candidate should have an Associate degree or a certificate in Surgical Technology and a BLS certification, with 1+ year of experience preferred. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for this position.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 3 months (AHA).
• Associate degree or surgical technology certificate.
• 1+ year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for operative procedures with timely accuracy.
• Ensure instruments and supplies are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub before induction.
• Collaborate with surgeon to anticipate case needs.
• Run Mayo stand and assist as needed.
• Close cases with proper dressings and turnover.
• Communicate clearly with team during procedures.
