Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons and perform operative procedures in a fast-paced OR setting. You will prepare for a variety of cases, maintain sterile technique, and ensure all instruments and equipment are ready for use.

Collaboration with surgeons and circulating staff is essential for efficient patient care. The role requires BLS certification within 3 months, an associate degree or Surgical Technology certificate, and 1+ years of OR experience

Qualifications

• Certification: BLS within 3 months (AHA).
• Associate degree or certificate in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ years of OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments and equipment are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to induction.
• Maintain organized back table and mayo stand; have items available as needed.
• Collaborate with surgeon to anticipate case needs and adjust.
