Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support direct and indirect patient care by assisting surgeons, and performing operative/invasive procedures. Strong emphasis on instrument readiness, sterile technique, and team collaboration.

Candidates should have an Associate degree or Certificate in Surgical Technology and BLS certification; 1+ year of experience is highly preferred. Sign-on and relocation bonuses may apply depending on location and experience.

Qualifications

BLS certification within 3 months per AHA guidance.
Associate degree or certificate in Surgical Technology.
1+ years of surgical tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare for surgeon-specific procedures with timely, accurate setup.
Ensure instruments and supplies are complete, functional, and ready.
Set up sterile field and participate as scrubbed team member.
Run mayo stand and back table comfortably; coordinate with circulating RN.
Maintain efficient case flow and anticipate case needs.
Assist in sequencing and instrument handling during procedures.
Support intraop activity and post-case turnover with proper dressing and transfer.
