Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support surgeons in direct and indirect patient care. You will scrub for operative procedures, set up sterile fields, and assist across a variety of cases with attention to instrument readiness and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a 1+ year surgical technology background, an associate degree or certificate in surgical technology, and BLS certification within 3 months. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 3 months (AHA).
• Assoc. Degree in Surgical Technology or Certificate in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ year surgical tech experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative procedures with timely, accurate setup.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to induction.
• Set up back table and mayo; organize and have items ready.
• Collaborate with surgeon to anticipate needs and adjust as necessary.
• Support running mayo and assist in case sequencing and turnover.
