Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support direct and indirect patient care by preparing for operative procedures, maintaining sterile fields, and anticipating surgeon needs. You will scrub in, assist, and collaborate to ensure efficient case flow across various specialties.

The role requires an Associate's degree or certificate in Surgical Technology and BLS certification within 3 months. 1+ year of experience is preferred, with sign-on and relocation bonuses available for

Qualifications

BLS certification required within 3 months (AHA).
Associate's degree or a certificate in surgical technology.
1+ years of surgical tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare for surgeon-specific operative procedures with timely, accurate setup.
Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
Set up sterile field and scrub before induction; assist and circulate as needed.
Run mayo stand and assist with back table organization; anticipate case needs.
Collaborate with the surgeon to adapt to technique and procedure requirements.
Perform first scrub, first assist, second scrub, and turnover activities.
Plan for intraoperative changes and maintain calm, focused performance.
