Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to provide direct and indirect care during operative procedures. You will scrub, set up sterile fields, maintain equipment, and collaborate with surgeons to ensure efficient operations in the operating room.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in Surgical Technology or a certificate in Surgical Technology, and BLS within 3 months. Experience of 1+ year is highly preferred, with sign-on and relocation bonuses available.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 3 months (American Heart Association).
• Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or a Surgical Technology certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures with timely accuracy.
• Ensure instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile field and scrub prior to induction.
• Arrange back table and mayo accessories; ensure items are available as needed.
• Use resources wisely and minimize unnecessary openings.
• Coordinate case timing and case needs with the surgeon.
