Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking an experienced Scheduler I to manage appointment scheduling for patients and procedures in a busy clinical setting. This full‑time, on‑site role requires coordinating with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will handle high call volumes, review patient visit notes and orders, assist with registration and payments, and schedule radiology or lab tests as needed. Prior surgery scheduling experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–5 years of medical scheduling experience preferred.
• Prior surgery scheduling experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast-paced setting.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for office visit and procedure appointments.
• Assist with high call volume.
• Maintain physicians schedules scheduling office visits and procedures.
• Take triage call messages for medical staff.
• View patient visit notes, identifying problems & diagnosed listed and physician orders.
• Assist in patient registration and financial transactions.
• May schedule radiology/lab.
• May include recall scheduling.
• Assist with check-in patients upon arrival and check-out upon departure.
• Assist in collecting patient and insurance payments and reconcile charges daily.
• File records in appropriate sections of patient charts in EMR.
• Prepare patient charts in advance and scan documents into charts in EMR.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
