Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Help Desk Technician 1 to support hardware and software, maintain client environment, and manage end-user issues. The role includes configuring devices, upgrading software, asset tracking, and basic training. On-site North Prairie, WI, with occasional travel.

The candidate will handle tickets, respond via phone, remote or in person, and collaborate with IT managers and India office as needed. This is a contract position.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in IT support, Computer Programmer, Software Developer or Network Admin.
• IT certifications or related degree are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage help desk tickets and provide solutions for technical issues.
• Respond to calls, emails, texts and provide remote or on-site support.
• Maintain knowledgebase documentation and create training manuals.
• Coordinate with outside vendors; travel up to 25% for on-site work.
• Provide remote support to the India office as required.
• Administer Active Directory password resets and general maintenance.
• Move hardware as needed and perform basic software troubleshooting.
