Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community under the Community Manager’s supervision. You will play a vital role in rent collection to optimize cash flow and financial health of the property.

As onsite leader, you will supervise staff, ensure compliance with policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines, and manage leasing, maintenance, and admin tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Posting all payments and income accurately, timely, and efficiently from all applicants and residents.
• Processing and reconciling daily all accounts receivable.
• Monitoring and following up on bad debt, preparing late notices, contacting residents and guarantors, and filing evictions.
• Helping the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Posting charges to resident accounts; bill backs of utilities where applicable.
• Handling end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintaining accurate records; auditing resident files for accuracy.
• Walking units and posting move-out charges, statements, and security deposit refunds.
• Ensuring regular/daily onsite attendance and staff development through training and coaching.
