Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community, reporting to the Community Manager. You will supervise staff, manage leasing activities, and ensure compliance with policies and safety standards.

The role emphasizes delinquency management, rent collections, budgeting, and internal controls, with the onsite team handling maintenance and resident relations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or two years housing industry experience.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily onsite operations and financial functions of the housing community.
• Post payments and reconcile receivables accurately and timely.
• Monitor bad debt, issue late notices, contact residents/guarantors, and file evictions as needed.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and net operating income.
• Post charges to resident accounts and manage move-in/move-out processes.
• Manage on-site staff through hiring, coaching, and performance development.
• Ensure property compliance with company policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.

Education
