Job summary

Greystar in Charleston, SC, is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings meet company standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality. The role handles maintenance tasks on garden properties, with an 8am-5pm schedule and rotating on-call.

You will complete work orders, make-ready activities for vacant units, manage materials, and maintain grounds and amenities.

Qualifications

• Experience with routine property maintenance and repairs.
• Familiarity with safety policies and code requirements.
• Ability to diagnose defects and perform preventative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and preventative maintenance per safety standards.
• Make-ready vacant units, inspections, and coordinate with vendors.
• Track materials, return unused items, and notify reorders as needed.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; assist with painting.
• Fix rather than replace when possible to control costs.
