Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain high-rise properties in Charleston. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing building systems, completing make-ready inspections for vacant units, and coordinating with vendors.

The role requires strict adherence to safety rules and codes, documentation of work, and flexible on-call availability. The successful candidate will perform ground maintenance, assist with common-area upkeep, and contribute to cost-saving by repairing items

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1/II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications.
• State and local certifications as required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license to operate on-property equipment, including golf carts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs following safety standards and code requirements.
• Complete make-ready tasks for vacant units, inspect, and coordinate with vendors.
• Maintain documentation for service requests and inventory usage.
• Assist with grounds and common areas maintenance and cleaning as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing parts rather than replacing when feasible.
