Job summary

Greystar in Washington, DC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work across the property to meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver's license where applicable, and flexibility for varied shifts, including evenings and weekends. The position offers comprehensive benefits and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications (Type 1 & II or Universal) required.
• Experience with building maintenance tasks and repairs preferred.
• Ability to operate from a safety perspective and follow codes.

Responsibilities

• 1. Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance.
• 2. Complete make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and punch lists.
• 3. Manage materials: access, track, return unused items, and notify supervisor for reorders.
• 4. Document service requests accurately and promptly.
• 5. Maintain grounds and common areas and assist with painting and cleaning as needed.
• 6. Support cost-control by conserving parts and using tools efficiently.
