Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician for a Seattle property to maintain buildings, grounds, and amenities in line with company standards. The role involves diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, and completing required paperwork.

The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local certifications, and a valid driver’s license. Strong attention to safety and efficient use of materials is essential for success and cost control.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling. (Applies to Certified Service Technicians.)
• All state/local certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and safety standards.
• Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing via pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and completing maintenance tasks.
• Manages materials by accessing, tracking, returning, and notifying about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation to ensure service requests are properly recorded and tracked.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-control by fixing parts rather than replacing when possible and using tools/materials efficiently.
