Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring building exteriors, interiors, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will handle work orders, make-ready tasks, inventory, and documentation.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, proper tool use, and involvement in cost-control programs, with on-site responsibilities at Greystar properties in the Washington, DC area.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
• Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance to ensure property meets standards.
• Conducts make-ready process for vacant apartments including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Manages materials inventory and logs usage with the maintenance supervisor.
• Documents service requests accurately to track work progress.
• Maintains grounds and common areas and supports safety and cost-control programs.
• Assists in keeping tools, equipment and parts in good working order.
