Job summary

IES is seeking a Project Lead – Structured Cabling to act as the on-site coordinator and supervisor of several Crew Leads for voice and data installation projects in the McCarran area. You will ensure job completion meets company and customer quality and safety requirements while maintaining staff efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in telecommunications or related technical fields, at least 6 months in a supervisory role, and the ability to interpret blueprints and project documents.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Minimum of six (6) months of supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Must possess and be able to effectively use the listed tools.
• Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• The Project Lead Structured Cabling will consistently run major project crews, assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training, and ensure safety and quality guidelines are met.
• The Project Lead Structured Cabling coordinates with Project Manager to ensure productivity, job completion, and budget compliance.
• The Project Lead Structured Cabling completes all project paperwork on time (timesheets, transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers).
• The Project Lead Structured Cabling performs quality checks and prepares red-lined as-built drawings.
• The Project Lead Structured Cabling serves as main on-site customer contact and attends meetings when required.
• The Project Lead Structured Cabling troubleshoots and resolves technical issues as they arise.
• The Project Lead Structured Cabling will complete other responsibilities as assigned.
