Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Project Lead - Structured Cabling to act as the on-site coordinator for voice and data installation projects. You will supervise crew leads, ensure timely completion, maintain safety standards, and serve as the primary on-site contact for customers.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in telecom, fiber termination skills, and experience using Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Must possess a minimum of six (6) months of supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Must possess and be able to effectively use the tools listed above.
• Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting, and quality requirements.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.
• Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead major project crews and provide training, ensuring safety and quality adherence.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to maintain productivity, budget, and completion.
• Complete all project paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, work orders, etc.).
• Perform quality checks, coordinate moves, and prepare as-built drawings.
• Serve as on-site customer contact and attend meetings as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; maintain consistent performance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
