Job summary

Heraeus Medevio in Fridley, MN is seeking a Product Development Engineer Co-Op for an 8-month term starting May 2027. You will work under experienced engineers on design, testing, manufacturing or product development projects for interventional medical devices.

The role offers hands-on training in design and development of medical device components while gaining exposure to regulatory requirements and a quality system. On-site position with possible travel to White Bear Lake.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to work full-time onsite during the co-op duration.
• Strong analytical and mechanical aptitude; good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide general support to design and development projects for interventional medical devices.
• Assist with project scope items and required documentation for regulated industry.
• Support development of test methods to characterize performance outputs.
• Execute testing and ensure design outputs satisfy inputs.
• Generate engineering investigation reports of test data.
• Participate in product development team meetings and activities.
• Respond to changing priorities in a timely manner.
• Other duties as required.
