Job summary

Heraeus Medevio invites applications for a R&D Quality Engineer Co-Op in Fridley, MN. This on-site 8-month program offers hands-on experience in design, testing, manufacturing, and product development under seasoned engineers.

You will bridge product development and quality assurance, review technical docs, perform risk assessments, and develop test plans to validate functionality and compliance. Strong engineering coursework and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Ability to work full-time onsite during the co-op.
Strong analytical and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read blueprints and interpret standards.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Desire to apply engineering concepts to real-world projects.

Responsibilities

Provide support across the product lifecycle with inspection, correlation, DOE, PFMEA, GR&R, and data analysis.
Develop and improve inspection methods and process controls with internal/external partners.
Support nonconforming material and product disposition and corrective actions.
Use statistical tools to monitor product performance and identify process improvements.
Assist with system implementation including SPC/SQS software.
