Job summary

Heraeus Medevio in Fridley, MN, seeks a motivated R&D Pilot Manufacturing Engineer Co-op for May 2027 through December 2027. The role offers hands-on exposure to early-stage medical device manufacturing, design, testing, and process development within a safety-focused environment.

You will work under seasoned engineers on projects spanning manufacturing procedures, layout improvements, and visual controls, gaining real-world experience in clinical builds and GMP-aligned activities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering fields relevant to manufacturing and operations.
• GPA requirement of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site during the co-op period.

Responsibilities

• Support early development and clinical manufacturing builds.
• Develop procedures and work instructions for equipment and processes.
• Assist plant layout, 5S, visual management, and workflow improvements.
• Collect and analyze manufacturing data to support decisions.
• Collaborate with operators, technicians, and engineers to troubleshoot and improve quality and yield.
