Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year experience in procurement preferred.
• Computer skills and ability to learn ERP and Inventory Management applications.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with MS Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Procure to meet customer demand (stock or non-stock) in line with purchasing strategies.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders to optimize delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and select vendors compatible with specs, price, delivery.
• Monitor quality and timeliness; coordinate returns/replacements as needed.
• Communicate order status with customers and resolve issues with vendors.
• Maintain supplier relationships and resolve payables nonconformance.
• Identify opportunities for customer cost savings.
