Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. You will ensure equipment uptime, support production needs, and deliver high-level technical service in the field.

Candidates should have hands-on mechanical/electrical aptitude, strong customer communication, and the ability to work independently while representing IPG at customer sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical field preferred.
• Experience with electrical and electromechanical systems; diagnose faults at customer sites.
• Basic mechanical skills to disassemble/repair components.
• Experience in packaging automation systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on IPG/Better Packages equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and minor automation-related issues using tools and docs.
• Provide on-the-job training to customer maintenance teams as needed.
• Follow field service procedures: issue RMAs, complete work orders, document actions, and submit reports.
• Perform software upgrades on relevant equipment and ensure proper configuration at customer site.
• Support senior technicians on complex field service jobs and escalations.
• Perform other field duties including emergencies, training, projects, and audits.
