Job summary

IPG is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in the field.

You will install, repair, and maintain equipment, perform PMs, and document service actions with a focus on uptime and customer satisfaction. Some travel and training support are included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• Experience diagnosing faults on electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Experience with packaging automation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and minor automation issues using testing tools and documentation.
• Provide on-the-job training to customer maintenance teams as needed.
• Establish, schedule, and execute Preventive Maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Follow field service procedures including documenting work orders and reporting.
• Travel up to 30% of the week and assist with larger projects as needed.
