Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) seeks a Senior Field Service Technician to provide technical support for national accounts and end users. You will work with sales to analyze customer situations, train on equipment startup and maintenance, and develop effective solutions for client needs.

The role focuses on maintenance, installation, and preventive programs across IPG/Better Packages products, with significant travel and independent work, while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent, plus an Associate degree in technology or related field.
5-7 years of related experience.
Broad knowledge of electronics and electromechanical principles.
Experience with packaging automation systems preferred.
Proficient with PC applications including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Train customers on start-up, operation and maintenance of packaging equipment (e.g. WAT dispensers, protection systems, case sealers).
Perform on-site installations, repairs and maintenance; provide training to in-house staff.
Establish a preventive maintenance program and build relationships with customer contacts.
Assist in development and documentation of Technical Sales best practices.
Travel overnight, up to 60% of the work week, and support complex customer needs.
