Job summary

IPG is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong communication with customers, and the ability to work independently in the field.

You will install, repair, and maintain equipment, run PM programs, and support field testing of new products, with travel up to 30% and required valid driver’s license or passport for

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred or equivalent field service experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electromechanical systems, ability to diagnose faults at customer sites.
• Basic mechanical skills to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components safely.
• Experience with packaging automation systems is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance on IPG/Better Packages equipment at customer locations.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and minor automation issues using testing tools and documentation; train customer maintenance teams as needed.
• Establish and execute Preventive Maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
• Support field testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of new products and prototypes.
