Job summary

KNAPP Group is seeking a Resident Maintenance Technician to provide on-site maintenance and support for automated storage and retrieval systems at the customer location in the United States. The role emphasizes electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and strong customer service.

You will perform setup/calibration of precision automation equipment, respond to emergencies, and work with on-site management to ensure safety and efficiency. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Automation required.
• 0-3 years' experience in repair of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with 480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, 48VDC/24VDC, VFDs, and PLCs (Siemens preferred).
• Strong communication and customer service skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rectify electro-mechanical faults and provide specialist maintenance support.
• Respond to emergency calls and coordinate with Customer operations.
• Set up and calibrate precision automation equipment and conveyors.
• Train customer maintenance teams and document reports clearly.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and site procedures; log spare parts usage.
