Job summary

KNAPP is seeking a Resident Maintenance Technician in the United States to provide first‑class technical support for automated storage and retrieval systems at customer sites. You will diagnose electro‑mechanical faults and perform preventive maintenance while collaborating with on‑site teams to maximize system uptime.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or automation fields, 0–3 years of related experience, and fluency in English with preferred Spanish or

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Automation or related.
• 0-3 years direct experience preferred.
• Experience in repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems including 480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, and 48VDC, 24VDC, VFDs and PLCs (Siemens preferred).
• Experience in equipment maintenance, modifications and design preferred.
• Strong communication and bilingual abilities (English/Spanish or English/German) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-class maintenance support to Customer on operation and maintenance of automated storage and retrieval systems and storage and picking systems.
• Rectify electro-mechanical faults and provide specialist maintenance support.
• Respond to emergency calls by Customer and ensure safety and first-time-right repairs.
• Set up and calibrate precision automation equipment and train customer maintenance teams as required.
• Maintain reports and ensure clear communication with customers; comply with safety and quality procedures.
