Job summary

KNAPP North America is seeking a Resident Maintenance Technician to provide on-site maintenance and repair for automated storage and retrieval systems at customer locations. You will apply electrical and mechanical expertise to maximize equipment utilization and ensure high-quality service.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong communication with customers, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders, including maintenance teams and on-site management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferably in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Automation or related or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• 0-3 years direct experience preferred.
• 0-3 years demonstrated experience in providing repairs on various machinery systems including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems (Siemens preferred).
• 0-3 years experience in equipment maintenance, modifications and design preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rectify electro-mechanical faults and provide specialist technical assistance as a support technician.
• Respond to emergency calls by Customer.
• Be safety conscious in all activities and promote first-time-right resolutions.
• Provide emergency breakdown and specialist maintenance support.
• Handle setup and calibration of precision automation equipment.
• Train customer’s maintenance team as required.
• Provide specialist maintenance service support to the Customer’s installed system.
• Interact with on-site management and keep them informed of progress.
