Job summary

Greystar seeks a Service Technician to uphold the physical standards of our properties, handling work orders, preventative maintenance, and routine safety compliance. The role includes making-ready vacant units, coordinating with vendors, and documenting work performed to ensure quality and timely completion.

The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local credentials, and a valid driver's license for on-site operations.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications.
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to access materials, tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-orders.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools correctly.
