Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform maintenance and make-ready tasks across our properties. The role ensures safety, cleanliness, and function of building systems, grounds, and common areas, with strong emphasis on timely work orders and proper documentation.

The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local licenses as needed, and a valid driver’s license for on-site operations or golf cart use where applicable. This is an on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Certifications as required by state and local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins.
• Follows procedures for obtaining materials from the maintenance department and tracks inventory.
• Completes documentation for service requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, including cleaning and painting tasks as needed.
• Supports cost-controlling measures by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Inspects work performed by contractors to verify quality standards.
• Conducts routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicates them to management.
