Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs across our properties, handling work orders, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance. You will diagnose issues, coordinate with vendors, and ensure units and common areas meet Greystar standards for safety and appearance.

This onsite role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, valid driver’s license for potential golf-cart operation, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications.
• All required state and local certifications as applicable.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing the defect and making repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and material provisioning.
• Tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Maintains documentation and paperwork for service requests to ensure accurate records.
• Assists in grounds and common areas upkeep, including cleaning and minor painting as needed.
• Supports cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts where possible and using tools appropriately.
