Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is seeking a full-time on-site Mailroom Associate to manage processing of inbound USPS mail and packages, using imaging and tracking tools. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely delivery, and support for health engagement teams.

The position requires a High School Diploma, strong computer skills, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Prior mailroom or stocking experience is preferred, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with Windows, Word, Excel and tracking systems.
• Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, both oral and written.
• Mailroom/stocking experience in a production-driven environment preferred.
• Willingness to lift 50 lbs on a consistent basis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process all inbound USPS mail and packages from external carriers using standard procedures.
• Operate and troubleshoot mail equipment and imaging systems as needed.
• Prepare Case Management Welcome packets and Blue Advantage Welcome packets for Health and Clinical Engagement area.
• Deliver packets to Outgoing Operations and support optimization of SLAs.
• Handle special projects and be available for overtime as required.
