Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana is seeking a mail services technician to operate a high-speed intelligent inserter and perform daily inserting and presorting of outgoing mail, ensuring USPS regulations and HIPAA guidelines are followed. The role reports to the Manager, Mail Services & Material Mgt, and requires coordination with USPS, vendors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of experience with mail procedures and inserting equipment.
• Knowledge of USPS regulations and mail accounting systems preferred.
• Ability to operate an intelligent inserter and understand barcode readers and camera validation.
• Ability to work second shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a high speed Pitney Bowes intelligent inserter with barcode scanning and camera validation.
• Perform daily inserting and presorting of outgoing mail according to postal guidelines.
• Set up inserting system for optimal production and adjust as needed.
• Maintain postage meters and reconcile postage logs.
• Collaborate with team to ensure quality output and customer service.
