Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is seeking an on-site Mailroom Specialist to handle inbound USPS mail and packages. You will use a range of tools to ensure timely processing and accurate routing for internal partners.

Responsibilities include operating OPEX Extraction Desk, FalconV Imaging, MMS, Kofax, Pitney Bowes SendSuite, and Workday Procurement/Inventory systems, plus preparing Welcome packets for Health & Clinical Engagement and coordinating with Outgoing Operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and tracking systems.
• Experience in time management, prioritizing tasks and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, oral and written.
• Mailroom/stocking or warehousing experience preferred.
• Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound USPS mail and packages from external carriers using required systems.
• Operate and troubleshoot mail equipment and software as needed.
• Prepare Case Management and Welcome packets and deliver to Outgoing Operations.
• Utilize OPEX Extraction Desk, FalconV Imaging, MMS, Kofax, Pitney Bowes and Workday for daily tasks.
• Work on-site full time and be available for overtime as directed.
