Job summary

FedEx Office in Richmond, VA is seeking a Mail Services Specialist to efficiently handle mail and parcels on site. You will operate mail processing equipment, coordinate shipping, and provide responsive customer service to internal clients.

Responsibilities include selecting shipping methods, tracking packages, assisting with fulfillment tasks, and maintaining clean, well-stocked copy/scan areas. A high school diploma and 1+ year of customer service or operations experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• 1+ year of customer service or operations experience.
• 1+ year of specialized experience preferred.
• Familiarity with USPS and commercial carrier processes preferred.
• Experience with mailroom equipment (e.g., postage meters, envelope openers, barcode scanners) preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and ability to learn new software applications quickly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all mail and shipping related services and activities.
• Pick-up and deliver customer packages and mail on site.
• Operate and maintain an automatic mail processing machine (mail meter).
• Provide customer service by informing customers of products, services, routes, and rates.
• Log receipt and release of packages using a tracking system.
• Operate pallet jacks and other large package handling equipment.
• Assist with fulfillment tasks such as furniture or conference room setup.
