Job summary

Walbridge is seeking an IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support at the project site in Van Buren Township, Michigan. You will ensure Windows-based systems run smoothly, deploy hardware and software, and onboard new hires with ready-to-use workstations.

The role emphasizes IT support in a dynamic environment, with opportunities to learn and grow through exposure to new technologies, policies, and security guidelines. You may travel as needed and train in Detroit for 4–6 weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma with technical training or professional experience.
• 3+ years IT support in a Windows environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Experience documenting work in a ticketing system.
• Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide Windows 11 Tier 1/2 support to users and troubleshoot OS issues.
• Stage, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Prepare and provision workstations for new hires and day-one readiness.
• Assist with evaluation and adoption of new technologies and tools.
• Support basic network setup, VPN access, and wired/wireless configurations.
• Research and recommend hardware, software, and IT services to improve efficiency.
• Deliver end-user training and guidance on tech tools and systems.
